Ellis Family Update

I just can't seem to stay up to date on blogging. Ours lives are just too busy. Nothing really exciting going on. Just the same old stuff. Eli is 8 months old and weighs about 22 lbs. Eli is trying to crawl he has figured out how to go backwards but not forward yet. He just cut his third tooth. It took him forever to cut this one. It looks like now that he is trying to cut another but who nows we will just have to wait and see. Eli just amazes me everyday he is learning so much each day. He will say mama, dada, and alot of other funny noises. We have been having some trouble getting him to eat baby food but not anymore. We started feeding him rice cereal and boy does he love it. I think we could mix anything with it and he would eat it. He gets really mad it you don't feed him quick enough. We have to go to Vandy on April 6th for his first helmet check with the doctor. I am not really looking forward going because I am probably going to have to go off on the doctor. He will not fill out the paperwork that I need to get Eli's helmet paid for. He has filled it out once but he didn't fill them of right. Oh well, we will see what happens. My sister had a wreak Friday night but she is fine. She messed up the front of her car just a little bit. It looks like her care is winking at you. Well it is getting late and I have to work tomorrow so I will talk at everyone later. Have a great week!

Helmet Time

Eli got his helmet today. He has to wear it for 6 months and during that time he wears if 23 hours a day. I hope the next 6 months goes by really fast. I thought that I would have a harder time with the surgery but I was totally wrong. The surgery was nothing. I cried off and on the whole way home from Nashville after getting the finally fitting. He looks cute in it but he does not like it when you put it on or take it off. He are the pics I took today.

Pics

Just a couple of update pics of Eli. He is 6 months old and growing like a weed. He weighs 20 lbs and is 27 1/2 inches long. He rolls over and is sitting up. He won't let us lay him on his back much he wants to be up seeing what is going on. He talks all the time. He can say mama, and dada but only when we work with him for a while. He amazes me everyday with something new he has learned to do. Well anyway here are some pics of him.

This is Eli before his surgery the outfit they put him in was too cute.

Eli and Church a couple of hours after his surgery he didn't act like anything had even happened. He was shaking he wanted to get a hold of Church so bad.

My first bath in my rubber duck. He loved it I know have a hard time getting him out of the bathtub.

He is not the cutest baby ever.

You can't see them but he has two teeth in the bottom and one coming in on the top.

Eli's update

Eli is doing great! I really can't believe how good he is doing. He is taking pain medicine but I really don't think that he needs it. He does care to put pressure on the area. Since he is rolling over know as soon as you lay him on the floor he rolls over I didn't let him do it yesterday because I thought that it would hurt but today I put him down and before I knew it he was on his belly. He just laughed and looked around. Laurie came by today with the proofs of Eli's 6 months pictures and I love all of them. I don't have any clue how I will pick which ones to order. Well Eli is asleep and that means that I should be asleep too. Hope everyone has a great weekend.

We are home

Eli's surgery was today. We had to be at the hospital at 6:30 this morning so me, Mom, Richie, Eli, and Ali went down last night and stayed so that we didn't have to get up as early. The surgery when great it was originally going to take about 1 & 1/2 to 2 hours but it only took about an hour. They took him back at 8:15 and they called us at around 9 and said that they were about done and that we could come see him in just a little bit. He was very sleepy but other than that he is fine. He was smiling and laughing once we got home. He is back asleep now and will probably be that way the rest of the night. I just am so thankful that he is okay. And Thank God for watching over us during this time. Eli still has a week of recovering but I feel like he will do great. Next up is the helmet, we will start that process some time in Feb. Talk to everyone later.

It has been a while

I know it has been a while since I have blogged anything. We have been so busy with the holidays, work, and being a mom. Eli is almost six months old and I can't believe he is that big already. He is sitting up and has two teeth. He is still looks just like my brother with alittle bit of Richie in there. Since he has gotten the teeth all he does is chew on his hands and drools everywhere. He also has really learned that he has a voice and talks all the time he really like to yell at us and then laugh. He is having surgery in a week and I am scared to death about it. I know everything will be fine but just thinking about it makes me want to cry. He will come that day and will have to go back in a week to have the tube they are putting in removed. Yesterday we had Eli's 6 month pics made with Laurie. She has posted some of them and they are sooooo.... good I love all of them. I really can't believe the my baby boy is already as big as he is. I really blows my mind. Well I gotta go Eli is getting fussy. Here are the pics that Laurie has posted I love all of the my favorite is the first one. Oh and the one of Eli eating carrots was just too funny so I thought that I would show everyone the mess that me and Eli made. Talk to everyone later.
